Items of Historical Interest
We accept items of historical interest that help to show unit histories from the point of view of the U.S. Military personnel. Examples include photos, letters (e.g., love letters written from the battlefield), non-classified documents, etc.
We accept items in digital or printed/paper form. If you have any such items, please contact us today so we can help determine how to best process and protect the items.

Financial Donations
All financial donations are applied towards preserving unit histories here in the UnitTimeline.com website. You can donate to support a specific unit, or donate to the Unit History Preservation Fund.
The Registry of American Veterans delivers a variety of services to support the preservation of unit histories, including:
- Digitization of printed photos (example: converting shoeboxes full of photos to digital images).
- Mailing/Shipping costs.
- Timeline update support, including content development and content management support.
- Data storage, including storage for images and the database for unit information.
- Data transfer required to support unit timelines and the associated assets (e.g., photos, videos, maps, and documents).
- And all the technical expertise that supports the technology behind UnitTimeline.com.
Your donations help pay for all of these support services.
Donate to a Specific Unit
You can donate to a specific unit. Donations are applied to the monthly fee required to keep each unit timeline online. Any past-due charges are paid first, with subsequent donations applied to future charges.
Donate to the Unit History Preservation Fund
This fund supports the preservation of the history of units having no surviving members or for which all the members are otherwise unable to contribute financially.
Some of the older units may need printed photos to be digitized. And in many cases the more senior unit members may prefer assistance in telling their stories.
Units financially supported in whole or in part are charged at the same rate as member-supported units. The only difference is the funds are drawn from the Unit History Preservation Fund.
